What you'll be doing includes:
Coaching, leading, facilitating meetings, holding the team accountable, being accountable for the process and the product
Training, mentoring, and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
Leads daily scrum meetings, iteration reviews, and maintains backlogs
Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
Working with product owners to handle backlogs and new requests.
Scheduling and facilitating internal communication, scrum events, meetings, and effective decision-making processes.
Be the point of contact for external communications (e.g., from customers or stakeholders).
Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements and implement changes effectively.
Support Product Owner as needed
Facilitate positive team dynamics to maximize team performance
Identify and remove impediments to help protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the team’s ability to deliver
Who you are:
Comfortable working remotely
Comfortable collaborating with Product Owner and Development team
Capable of both deciding next actions, and knowing when the decision requires sign off from management
Comfortable in a dynamic (i.e., startup) work environment
A good communicator with the ability to express and share ideas to business leaders with a non-technical background
Required knowledge, skills, and competencies:
Minimum of 3 years as Scrum Master in large enterprise environments overseeing small to large teams directly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation and organizational skills, and the ability to build strong working relationships with technical and non-technical teams alike at all levels
Exhibiting a servant leadership attribute to support team
Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Superior presentation and negotiation skills
Proven organizational skills
Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments
Three or more years experience working as part of an Agile team
Experience writing Epics, Features, User Stories, Defining Acceptance Criteria & tests, Definition of Ready and Definition of Done on behalf of the Product Owner and answering clarifying questions on requirements
Experience facilitating meetings and workshops
Experience in incremental software development projects using an Agile Scrum approach
Detail oriented
Experience with Atlassian tools Jira & Confluence preferred or other Agile workflow management tools
Certified scrum master, SAFe is bonus.
